Palo Duro Canyon carves through the northern portion of this landscape, where the Prairie Dog Town Fork Red River flows past the mouth of Indian Cr. This Briscoe County terrain is defined by a series of dramatic breaks and draws, notably Folley Canyon and the prominent Indian Peak that rises above the surrounding plains. The drainage pattern is complex, with Comanche Cr, W Fork Dinner Cr, and Little Indian Cr creating a deeply eroded topography of mesas and canyons.
