The Prairie Dog Town Fork Red River carves through the northern reaches of this landscape, where the dramatic topography of Palo Duro Canyon meets the high plains of Briscoe County. This 2019 survey documents a terrain defined by deep erosion and drainage networks, most notably around Indian Peak and the branching systems of Indian Cr and Little Indian Cr. The southern half of the quadrangle transitions into a series of distinctive landforms including Cleveland Draw, Folley Park, and the steep descents of Folley Canyon. Remote ranching infrastructure is visible through isolated features like Wild Horse Tank and the rural transit corridors of Co RD R and Co RD O. These roads provide the primary access to the western canyon edge, where the headwaters of the W Fork Dinner Cr and E Fork Dinner Cr begin their descent into the rugged canyon breaks.
