Salish Mountains topography dominates this 2017 survey of Lake County, Montana. The landscape is defined by the prominent peak of Irvine Hill and the sprawling drainage systems of Garcon Gulch and Oliver Gulch. These valleys channel water into perennial streams such as Irvine Cr and White Earth Cr, which move across the lower-elevation Irvine Flats in the eastern portion of the quadrangle.
