Kachia Reservoir and Harri Reservoir serve as central water sources in this high plains landscape of Fergus County. The terrain is defined by the winding course of the Sacagawea River, which cuts across the central portion of the quadrangle, and the drainage patterns of Little Crooked Creek and Antelope Creek. The remote character of the region is underscored by the presence of the Wilder Trl, a primitive route that provides one of the few points of access through the section lines of T20N and T19N. This 2017 survey illustrates the modern management of Montana's upland water resources, where small reservoirs and seasonal creeks dictate the utility of the land for ranching and wildlife in an area characterized by significant topographic relief and sparse infrastructure.
