Fishlake National Forest encompasses the northeastern portion of this high-altitude landscape where the headwaters of numerous drainages begin their descent. This 2020 survey records a transition from the elevated Porkies Pasture and Horse Flat down through deep-cut corridors like Kane Canyon and its many branches. The drainage patterns are intricate, with seasonal watercourses such as Big Twist Cr and Rocky Cr carving through the plateau.
