2014 Map of Krag Peak

USGS Topo · Published 2014

About this map

Krag Peak and Truax Mountain dominate this section of the high Wallowas, where the boundaries of Wallowa National Forest and Whitman National Forest converge. The landscape is defined by a dense network of glacial basins and steep drainages, including the headwaters of the South Fork Imnaha River and the meandering East Fork Eagle Creek. Dozens of alpine water bodies are scattered across the high elevations, from the isolated Cached Lake in the northwest to the clusters at Pine Lakes and Two Color Lake.
