Jimgrey sits at the northern edge of this high desert landscape, serving as a waypoint along the path through the eastern Mojave Desert. The topography is dominated by the Kramer Hills in the southwest, where the land rises sharply from the surrounding flats. This 2018 survey reveals a terrain defined by modern infrastructure and historical transit routes, most notably the path of Highway 58 cutting diagonally across the quadrangle. Aside from the established Kramer Rd and Powerline Rd, the area is characterized by vast stretches of open land and a complex network of township and range boundaries including t10n r6w and t11n r5w. The arrangement of these roads suggests a landscape shaped by utility access and the requirements of trans-desert travel in San Bernardino County.
