The Absaroka Range dominates this portion of the Shoshone National Forest, where steep drainages and high-elevation ridges define the landscape of Park County. In this remote wilderness, the drainage system is characterized by numerous seasonal and perennial flows including Lake Cr, Elizabeth Cr, and Bloom Cr. Evidence of past forest activity is noted by the naming of Burned Timber Cr, while the terrain itself rises to the heights of Wapiti Ridge and the Cut Coulee area.
