The Saint Johns River defines the eastern boundary of this central Florida landscape, carving a winding path through expansive wetlands near the border of Orange and Brevard counties. The western portion of the quadrangle is largely occupied by the Tosohatchee Wildlife Management Area, a significant conservation corridor interwoven with the Tosohatchee Wildlife Management Area Trl and the Florida National Scenic Trl. This area illustrates a preserved ecosystem dominated by hydrologic features like Jim Creek and Second Creek, which feed into the river system.
