Cauthens Crossroads and Blakley Crossroads anchor this landscape along the eastern edge of the Catawba River valley. The terrain is defined by a dense network of tributaries including Camp Creek, Dry Cr, and Rocky Cr, which feed into the large impoundments of Fishing Creek Reservoir and Wateree Lake. These waterways have historically shaped the boundaries between Lancaster, Chester, and Kershaw counties.
