The Moreau River meanders across this rural landscape at the border of Ziebach and Dewey counties. The terrain is defined by the drainage networks of Pretty Cr and Bear Cr, which carve through the high plains of South Dakota. This 2017 survey shows a region primarily shaped by natural topography and a sparse network of section-line roads, including Co Rd 2d in the north and Co Rd 22a in the south.
