The Aberdeen Watershed dominates this portion of the Olympic National Forest, protecting the critical water supply for coastal communities. Several major catchments, including Wishkah Reservoir Number Two, Wishkah Reservoir Number Three, and the Aberdeen Reservoir, are linked by the headwaters of the Wishkah River. This hydrological network is defined by the sharp elevation changes between Humptulips Ridge and the Olympic Mountains.
