Grand River alluvial flats and the northern prairie plateaus of Corson County define this 2012 survey. The landscape is dominated by a complex network of seasonal drainage, most notably the winding course of Thunder Hawk Cr and its eastern branch, E Thunder Hawk Cr, which converge before reaching the southern river valley. In the eastern portion of the quadrangle, Lemmon Lake serves as a prominent focal point for the local hydrology.
