The high alpine environment of the Mount Baker National Forest is defined here by a network of significant glaciers and dramatic peaks along the Snohomish and Skagit county lines. Elevations rise toward the southern portion of the map, culminating at Kennedy Peak and its surrounding ice fields, including the Kennedy Glacier, Scimitar Glacier, and Ptarmigan Glacier. These glacial systems feed several watercourses such as Kennedy Cr and the White Chuck River.
