Utah Lake dominates this landscape, its expansive waters interrupted only by the isolated outcrop of Bird Island. Along the southern shoreline, the terrain rises sharply at Lincoln Point, a prominent geological feature marking the northern end of West Mtn. This area serves as a critical transition between the open lake and the low-lying wetlands to the east.
