Bayou Bartholomew snakes through the eastern reaches of this landscape along the boundary between Drew and Ashley Counties. This 2014 survey documents a region defined by its complex drainage network, where Cutoff Creek, Stephens Creek, and Wolf Creek intersect a patchwork of timber access roads and rural routes. The map provides significant genealogical value, identifying several burial sites including Old Troy Cem and New Troy Cem, which suggest the historic footprint of the Troy community. Other localized markers like Roper Cem and Townsend Cem further indicate the long-standing family settlements in this part of southeast Arkansas. Much of the land is crisscrossed by specialized roadways such as Upper Weir Rd and Elwert Trce, reflecting the modern management of these wooded lowlands and creek bottoms.
