The Trinity Mountains of Elmore County define this high-altitude landscape, where numerous forks and tributaries converge to form the upper reaches of the Roaring River. In the southern portion of the quadrangle, Little Trinity Lake and Little Roaring River Lake serve as central points for recreation, accompanied by the Little Trinity Lake Campground and Little Roaring River Lake Campground. This 2011 survey documents a complex network of alpine drainages, including Whiskey Jack Creek and the West Fork Lost Man Creek, which descend through the steep terrain surrounding Sheep Mountain. Accessibility is primarily facilitated by the Trinity Ridge Rd, which follows the higher elevations between these remote water bodies and the various forks of the Trinity Creek system.
