Lobdell and the surrounding agricultural lands of Bolivar County are defined by a complex network of waterways and drainage systems characteristic of the Mississippi Delta. The landscape is crisscrossed by numerous bayous, including Stokes Bayou, Ann Bayou, and the meandering Bogue Phalia along the eastern edge. Small settlements such as Dahomy, Longshot, and Egypt Ridge anchor the rural landscape, connected by a grid of local roads like Neblett Rd and Longshot Rd.
