
Deerlodge National Forest encompasses the high-elevation terrain of this Montana landscape, where the Continental Divide winds through the Boulder Mountains. The area is defined by its complex drainage systems, including the Boulder River and its various tributaries like the West Fork Boulder River and Cabin Creek. To the north, Champion Pass and Gospel Hill overlook the watersheds of Dieders Fork and Orofino Creek, while the southern reaches descend toward the outskirts of Butte.
