The unincorporated community of Lone Elm and the settlement of Pisgah anchor this 2015 study of rural Cooper County, Missouri. The landscape is defined by the dendritic drainage patterns of the Clark Fork and its tributaries, including the W Br Clark Fork, Panther Br, and Draffen Br. These waterways carve through the terrain, creating the ridges where many of the area’s local roads and family cemeteries are situated.
