Lake Powell dominates the lower portion of this desert landscape, its waters filling Wahweap Bay within the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. The shoreline is marked by the distinctive Lone Rock monolith and the sandy reach of Lone Rock Beach, while the interior desert reveals a network of canyons and high plateaus. Erosion has sculpted features such as Skylight Arch and the prominent Stud Horse Point overlooking the basin.
