Love Point marks the northern tip of Kent Island, where the expansive waters of the Chesapeake Bay meet the mouth of the Chester River. This 2011 survey documents the residential and maritime character of the area, centered on the community of Bridge View and the point itself. The legacy of regional transport is evident in the presence of the Love Point Landing and Chester River Landing, as well as the historic Old Steamship Rd, recalling the era when ferries and steamboats were vital links to the mainland.
