1931 Map of Manistique River SW

About this map

The Manistique River winds through a vast marshland landscape in this 1931 survey of Schoolcraft County, Michigan. This advance sheet, compiled in part from aerial photographs taken by the Army Air Corps, reveals a complex drainage network where the West Branch and Stutts Creek converge with the main river. These meandering watercourses are punctuated by numerous wetlands and small named bodies of water such as Smith Lake and Camp Nine Lake.
