The Yellowstone River cuts through the northwest corner of this landscape on the border of Dawson and Prairie Counties. The terrain is defined by dramatic elevation changes, from the prominent Barrs Bluffs overlooking the river valley to the level expanse of Fallon Flat. This 2017 survey details a network of drainage systems, including Bad Route Cr, Cabin Cr, and Spring Cr, which carve through the breaks and coulees of eastern Montana.
