The town of Maud sits at the southern edge of this Oklahoma landscape, where the border of Pottawatomie and Seminole counties divides the terrain. The northern half of the area is dominated by the marshy bottoms of the Little River, which snakes through a wide floodplain. To the north, the small settlement of Harjo is positioned along Allie Croslin Rd, serving as a central point between several local reservoirs.
