1964 Map of Maumee

USGS Topo · Published 1980

About this map

The Maumee River serves as the central artery for this Lucas County landscape, dividing the growing communities of Maumee and Perrysburg. The 1964 topography, later updated with late-1970s developments in purple, shows the rapid expansion of Toledo into the historic Twelvemile Square Reservation. Significant military history is preserved here at the Fallen Timbers State Memorial and Fort Meigs State Memorial, which anchor the riverbanks near Blue Grass Island.
