Mt Blackburn and Rime Peak dominate this high-altitude landscape in the heart of the eastern Alaska Range. This 2017 survey captures a region defined by massive ice fields and the shifting dynamics of glacial flow, including the northern reaches of the Nabesna Glacier and Kennicott Glacier. The map illustrates the administrative transition within the Wrangell-Saint Elias National Park, showing where the protected wilderness gives way to the Wrangell-Saint Elias National Preserve in the southern sections. Notable for its lack of human infrastructure, the terrain is instead marked by the Kuskulana Glacier and Lakina Glacier, which carve through the high peaks. This map provides a technical look at the drainage patterns and ice-marginal features of one of the most glaciated environments in North America.
