Meacham is the primary settlement on this high-elevation landscape in the Blue Mountains, situated where the Old Oregon Trl meets modern infrastructure. The community is historically significant as a major stop on the historic emigrant route, and its legacy is marked by the Meacham Cem near Beaver Cr. The terrain is characterized by a series of steep, parallel ridges including Telephone Ridge, Gibbon Ridge, and Light Ridge, which separate various drainages such as Isquulktpe Cr and Mill Cr. Much of the eastern portion of the map is protected within the Umatilla National Forest, showing a landscape dominated by timber and watershed management. Local roads like Kamela Loop and Huckleberry Ln wind through the hills, providing access to the deep ravines of Bachelor Canyon and the headwaters of Meacham Cr.
