Medimont serves as the focal point of this Northern Idaho landscape, situated where the Coeur d'Alene River winds through a complex system of wetlands and lakes. The local geography is defined by the proximity of Medicine Lake and Cave Lake, which lie just south of the settlement and the Medimont Cem. This area marks a significant recreational and historical corridor, as the Trail Of The Coeur D' Alene's follows the river valley through the Coeur d'Alene National Forest. The map captures the transition from the river bottomlands to the surrounding heights, including Medicine Mtn and Rainy Hill. To the south and east, the terrain rises sharply into a series of prominent ridges and summits such as Petit Peak, Smith Ridge, and Grassy Mtn, with many peaks marking the border between Kootenai and Benewah Counties.
