Millett Ranch and the small settlement of Millett sit at the transition between the high peaks of the Toiyabe National Forest and the floor of the Big Smoky Valley. This central Nevada landscape is defined by its water sources, most notably the Millett Ranch Spring and several drainage creeks like Alice Gendron Cr and McLeod Cr that flow eastward from the high terrain of Toiyabe Range Peak. Historically, the presence of the Fremont Trl and Indian Burial Ground Rd suggests long-standing transit corridors across this arid basin-and-range geography.
