Monocline Ridge anchors this landscape in western Fresno County, where the sprawling Central Valley meets the rising terrain of the Diablo Range. The transition from the flat agricultural grid of the San Joaquin Valley to the uplifted slopes of the Tumey Hills is immediate and striking. A network of county roads, including S Brannan Ave and W Manning Ave, terminates abruptly at the base of the hills, marking the boundary between intensive cultivation and the high-relief topography of the Ciervo Hills.
