The Lehigh Valley railroad corridor defines the western edge of this Bradford County landscape, following the course of Towanda Creek through the valley floor. Settlement is concentrated around the junction at Monroeton, where the waterway meets the South Branch Towanda Creek amidst the fertile Towanda Flats. To the east, the terrain rises sharply into the plateau, home to the quiet hilltop community of Liberty Corners and the Uhdey Ch.

High-altitude landmarks such as Kellogg Mountain and Marcy Point dominate the southern portion of the sheet, much of which is preserved within Tioga State Forest and State Game Lands No 36. Genealogists will find family-named locations such as Cole Cem and Kellogg Cem preserved in this 1969 survey, alongside evidence of local industry in the various quarries and gravel pits that dot the hillsides near South Towanda.
