Comanche National Grassland dominates the landscape of this high plains region in Baca County. The terrain is defined by the winding course of the N Fork Cimarron River, which cuts across the southern portion of the sheet. For genealogists and local historians, the Rodley Cem represents a significant point of historical interest in the northwestern corner of the area. A network of county roads, including Co RD 34 and Co RD 38, crisscrosses the sections, following the established grid of the Public Land Survey System. The presence of Moore Draw in the southeast further illustrates the seasonal drainage patterns typical of this semi-arid environment, while the overall absence of dense settlement highlights the protected and agricultural nature of the land managed under the Cng designation.
