1907 Map of Mount Adams

USGS Topo · Published 1947

About this map

Mount Adams and its surrounding glaciated peaks dominate this landscape, which was surveyed during the first decade of the 1900s. The map illustrates a high-elevation environment defined by a radial drainage system, where numerous glaciers including the Adams Glacier, Klickitat Glacier, and Mazama Glacier feed the headwaters of the Cispus River and the Klickitat River. The southeastern portion of the map transitions into the Yakima Indian Reservation, showing the early boundary lines and the convergence of the Columbia National Forest and Snoqualmie National Forest.
