Mount Cecelia rises as a prominent landmark in this central Montana landscape, characterized by a series of isolated buttes and hills typical of Cascade County. The terrain is marked by significant topographical features such as Cascade Butte, Skull Butte, and Johnson Butte, which dominate the central and southern portions of the quadrangle. In the north, Rocky Reef and the Rocky Reef Reservoir indicate the adaptation of the land for water storage, while the seasonally wet area known as Muddy Flats sits near the drainage of Hunters Cr.
