Mt Chittenden and the peaks of the Absaroka Range dominate this high-altitude landscape where the eastern boundary of Yellowstone National Park meets the Shoshone National Forest. The 2017 terrain is defined by a network of drainage systems and primitive routes, most notably the wide Pelican Valley in the north and the rugged passes that facilitate travel through the mountains.
