Mount Eddy dominates this high-altitude landscape where the Trinity and Siskiyou county line cuts through the Trinity Mountains. This 2015 survey reveals a terrain defined by alpine basins and the headwaters of major California waterways, including the North, Middle, and South Forks of the Sacramento River. The small settlement of Deetz and the nearby Mills Meadow represent the limited human footprint in an area otherwise dedicated to wilderness and forestry within the Shasta National Forest.
