Yellowstone National Park defines the vast majority of this landscape, where the northern wilderness meets the Montana-Wyoming border. The high-altitude terrain is anchored by Mt Hornaday and Bison Peak, with the Absaroka Range stretching across the southern reaches of the map. Lower elevations feature the broad Lamar Valley, a critical corridor for the Lamar River and its many tributaries, including Slough Creek and Hornaday Cr.
