The high alpine divide of the Uinta Mountains defines this landscape, where the administrative boundary between Summit Co and Duchesne Co follows the jagged ridgeline. Dominating the southern edge, Mount Lovenia stands as a prominent landmark at the headwaters of the Lake Fork River. To the north, the terrain drops away into a series of glacial drainages including the Middle Fork Blacks Fork and Little E Fork Blacks Fork, which carve through the Wasatch National Forest.
