Mount Hood National Forest encompasses the entirety of this mountainous terrain in Clackamas and Marion counties. The landscape is defined by its extensive drainage network and prominent heights, centered around the Mt Lowe summit. A complex system of ridges, most notably Rhododendron Ridge, separates various basins that feed into the Clackamas Wild and Scenic River and the Collawash Wild and Scenic River.
