Mt Prophet and the surrounding high-altitude wilderness define this portion of the Skagit River watershed within the North Cascades National Park. The landscape is dominated by vertical relief, where peaks like Elephant Butte and Sourdough Mtn overlook a complex network of glacial drainage. Waterways such as McMillan Creek and Stetattle Cr carve through the steep terrain, feeding into lower basins like Azure Lake and Sourdough Lake.
