Mount Anderson and the surrounding high peaks of the Olympic Peninsula define this landscape, where the headwaters of several major river systems originate. The terrain is dominated by the remnants of glacial activity, most notably Eel Glacier, Hanging Glacier, and Anderson Glacier. This 2011 survey documents a network of primitive trails and shelters that facilitate travel through the high country, connecting points such as Anderson Pass and La Crosse Pass.
