Olympic National Park defines this landscape, preserving a high-alpine wilderness where the headwaters of several major river systems originate. The terrain is centered on the massive Mt Anderson and its surrounding ice fields, including Hanging Glacier, Eel Glacier, and Anderson Glacier. These glaciers feed the drainage basins of the Quinault River, the Duckabush River, and the W Fork Dosewallips River, which flow outward from the central peaks.
