Mt Anderson stands as a central massif in this section of Olympic National Park, surrounded by the high-elevation remnants of the Eel Glacier, Hanging Glacier, and Anderson Glacier. The topography is defined by the continental divide of the Olympic Mountains, where drainage systems diverge toward the Quinault River to the southwest and the Duckabush River to the southeast. These glacial headwaters create a landscape of steep basins and alpine passes, including Anderson Pass and O'Neil Pass.
