Nadine Butte rises as a prominent landmark in this high-desert corner of Elko County where the borders of Nevada, Idaho, and Oregon meet. The landscape is defined by a series of seasonal drainages and vast alluvial spaces, most notably Cathcart Flat in the north and Taylor Flat to the east. These broad, level areas are dissected by the winding courses of Willow Creek, Calico Creek, and Raven Creek, which shape the local topography.
