Necanicum Junction sits at a critical hydrologic and transit crossroads in the northern Oregon Coast Range, where the southern drainage of the Lewis and Clark River system meets the northern headwaters of the Necanicum River. This 2017 survey details a landscape defined by its complex network of forks and creeks, including the N Fork Necanicum River and the S Fork Lewis and Clark River. Notable high points like Davis Point and the prominent Twin Peaks rise above the deep drainages of Wolf Cr and Little Humbug Cr. The map shows how modern infrastructure follows these natural corridors, with Hamlet Rd and Hauger Mt Ln providing access to this timber-dense region of Clatsop County.
