Albion and the surrounding township lands of Calhoun County are defined by the winding course of the Kalamazoo River and its intricate network of tributaries. The southern reaches of this landscape show the convergence of transportation and water, where the river meets the settlement of Marengo. To the north, the terrain transitions into a mosaic of wetlands and small glacial lakes, including Prairie Lake, Halls Lake, and Wolcott Lake.
