2001 Map of Oak City South

USGS Topo · Published 2003

About this map

Oak City sits at the northern edge of this high-desert landscape, where the flat expanse of the Pahant Valley meets the rising slopes of the Fish Lake National Forest. The geography is defined by a series of deep drainages including Lovell Hollow, Dry Hollow, and Basin Hollow, which channel water from the high ridges of Partridge Mountain toward the valley floor. Evidence of local industry and infrastructure is present through several Gravel Pits and a Mine Shaft located in the southern reaches of the mountains.
