2000 Map of Oakland

USGS Topo · Published 2003

About this map

Oakland and the smaller settlement of Enid center this topographic survey near the line between Tallahatchie and Yalobusha counties. The landscape is defined by the headwaters of the Tillatoba Creek system, including the North Fork Tillatoba Creek and Hunter Creek. To the northeast, the terrain transitions into the recreation-focused lands of Cossar State Park along the southern reaches of Enid Lake, while the southeastern corner is protected within the Holly Springs National Forest.
