Lake Huron borders the northern reaches of this Presque Isle County landscape, where the shoreline is punctuated by the small settlements of Huron Beach, Bell Landing, and Hammond. The interior is defined by the winding course of the Ocqueoc River, which flows through Ocqueoc Lake and over the Ocqueoc Falls before reaching the lake. This 2014 survey documents the rural character of northern Michigan, showing a network of secondary roads such as Cheboygan Plains Hwy and King Hwy that connect isolated homesteads and cemeteries.
